Apple Skipper Midlength
Pre-launch info
Following the tremendous success of the Skipper downwind prone boards in 2024,
Appletree is expanding the lineup in 2025 with a full-volume range, now renamed the
Skipper Midlength.
Who are these boards for?
These boards are designed for versatility. The smaller sizes, like their predecessors, are
outstanding prone boards and deliver high-performance for experienced wingers and
parawingers. These sizes are also great for riders using electric foil assist systems who don’t
want to fully commit to the Zapple, which is designed exclusively for Foil Drive use.
In the mid-range sizes, the boards excel in all-around performance for both wing and
parawing. Finally, the larger sizes are built for light wind conditions, redefining low-wind
performance for wing and parawing sessions.
Shape
The shape has been slightly updated, featuring a longer hard rail for improved water release
while preserving the signature Skipper feel. We’ added extra rocker behind the foil boxes to
enhance carving in sharp turns. Across the entire range, the boards are designed to be
narrow, maximizing both efficiency and agility in turns. The foil boxes are positioned further
forward, reducing swing weight. As a result, when you're on the foil, the boards feel shorter
than they actually are since much of the board’s length is behind your back foot.
The board comes with Y setup inserts and comfy deckpads as standard.
Easy to recognize sizes
To help identify these boards within the collection, all sizes end with the number 7.
Whenever you see a 7 at the end of the volume number, you’ll know it’s a Skipper Midlength.
